Spicy Baked Basa Fillets
Makes 4 servings
INGREDIENTS
- 4 basa fillets
- 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice from 1 lemon
- 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons of red chili paste
- 2 teaspoons of grated fresh ginger
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons of tomato puree
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 350 °F Lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Season the basa with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Marinate the fish for 15 minutes.
- In a small bowl whisk together oil, chili, ginger, garlic, and tomato puree.
- Coat the basa with the spicy mixture.
- Place the basa fillets in the baking dish. Pour the oil mixture on top. Use a brush if needed to evenly distribute the sauce on top of the fillets.
- Bake uncovered until it flakes when you drag a fork across the center, this should take about 20 to 25 minutes.
