We value seafood industry (the blue economy) for its efforts to attain sustainability, transparency and a low carbon footprint.
Studies published in the journal Climate Change Nature show that consuming seafood products generates less carbon dioxide emissions than producing meat. The analysis found that for every kilogram of fish caught, between one and five kilograms of carbon dioxide are emitted, while in red meat production, between 50 and 750 kilograms of carbon dioxide are emitted for every kilogram.
